I wrote this last week and finally felt like I was able to put words to all of the anxiety/loneliness/unsettled feelings I’ve been having. It is so crazy how relieving it can be to write those feelings out, searching for the perfect words. Once the words are released I feel released from the pain too.
“I’ll sit here and watch you make the same mistakes I did.
I never meant it...

The customer is (not) always right. →
This just seriously made me laugh out loud, and made me so proud to be friends with Zack Bolotin- the owner of Porchlight Coffee. My last job was the kind of environment that would not stand up for their employees, and we always had to work with the knowledge that if there was ever a complaint- we would be suspended, or even terminated. Did we find love because we grew up, got real and worked through our issues? No. We just found the right guys. I am waiting for a call back from a job interview. It is at the cutest little cafe, and they would provide me with financial stability and great hours! They are closed on weekends, and they close by 5:30 PM M-F, so I will never have to cancel a gig or be stressed about music and work. FINGERS CROSSED. I know I should feel lucky to even have a job, but I am so ready for a more reliable income and a...

that inspire me. On one page I write the lyrics, on the other I write down what I like about them, how they apply to my life, what they remind me of, etc. When I was a kid, my dad and I would always sit down with the liner notes to our favorite albums and have a long discussion analyzing what we thought the writer was trying to convey.
One of the more hilarious moments was when we were driving on...
